YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR Leilani Speight

Leilani, a 13-year-old 8th grader, has always had a passion for beauty. Encouraged by her stepdad, she aims to create a space where beauty professionals can thrive.

The youngest girl in the camp, she stood out with her punctuality, active participation, and serious approach to her business idea.

I learned that you don’t have to be a certain age to start a business.

You can start when you’re ready.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR SABELLE SAWAH

Growing up surrounded by beauty professionals, Sabelle saw how a stunning hairstyle or a perfectly applied makeup look could completely transform someone's confidence. Inspired by that, She is now dedicated to using my own skills to empower young women, helping them feel beautiful and confident with personalized, affordable beauty services.

Despite being in the early stages of her business, Sabelle stood out for her commitment to helping young women feel empowered and confident.

I learned that you have to do what others don't do to live how others can't live. Confidence is everything, and I want to help every woman feel confident in her own skin.

Carl has been an incredible support for our staff and scholars in implementing 3DE at Potomac. He’s a subject matter expert in business and entrepreneurship—more than that, he’s a full-time entrepreneur who invests wholeheartedly in his community and youth. For the past two years, he’s chosen to do this work at our public high school, and we’re beyond grateful.

As a judge, facilitator of our boot camp workshops, and provider of summer camp services, his contributions have been invaluable. Last year, he even awarded scholarships to our winning students. His support has truly prepared our students for success in entrepreneurship. We’re so thankful for everything he’s done for us.
